Coronavirus Protection and Saftey
Updated:Thursday March 12, 2020 at 3:00pm PST
Hello choir members and friends,
We have been monitoring the current outbreak of the Coronavirus and keeping a close eye on the situation. Our number one priority as an organization is to keep our choir members, staff and volunteers safe. The CDC has asked that all gatherings of 250 people or more be canceled in order to control the spread. They've asked that we offer a space where people can be up to six feet apart and currently we aren't able to offer a space like that.
Although we hate to do this, we have to keep safety and health a priority and by doing that we must suspend our Friday choir practice, guitar and song writing workshop for the next two weeks (this week and next) for now. Another priority for us is that we maintain our sense of community and connection during a time that we are all being asked to physically separate ourselves from one another. In an effort to keep our connection to one another strong we have created a PRIVATE facebook group where we will be keeping everyone up to date with the latest and this is where we will be offering the songwriting workshop and our choir practice LIVE online this Friday and next. If you have a phone or a computer you can simply join us in the group.
Click here to join the facebook group.
Food Distribution: If you would like to stop by the church this Friday, March 13th, 2020 to pick up food from our weekly food distribution you can still do that but please understand that the church will not be open to hang out. It will simply be a grab and go for any food you may need.
Songwriting Workshop: Live on Facebook in our new private group at 9:30am https://www.facebook.com/groups/voicesstayingconnected/
Choir Practice: Live on Facebook in our new private group at 11 am. https://www.facebook.com/groups/voicesstayingconnected/
Guitar Workshop: Canceled for the next two weeks but Ricky Giordano will be live on Instagram teaching a class at 9:30 his Instagram is (@rickygfunk) https://www.instagram.com/rickygfunk/
Again, we wished that this was something we didn't need to do but want to make sure everyone is healthy and safe.
