A second-generation San Diegan, Rachel Mavrothalasitis has over a decade of experience designing, implementing, and evaluating programs focused on the U.S. housing market. She currently serves as COO of the Multifamily Impact Council, a national nonprofit dedicated to increasing impact capital for affordable and sustainable rental housing, and also operates a consulting practice focused on social and environmental impact measurement in real estate. Previously, Rachel held direct service and advocacy roles at the Polinsky Center at Rady Children’s Hospital and as Director of Housing Advocacy at Safe Place for Youth, where she oversaw youth advocacy, coordinated housing assessment systems, and multiple housing initiatives, including L.A.’s first youth Host Homes program. She is honored to join the Voices of Our City Choir board, bringing her housing expertise, hometown pride, and deep belief in the healing power of music and community.
