Voices of Our City Choir Announces “Because of You” Annual Benefit Concert presented by Music Power

Annual Benefit Concert, presented by Music Power, will bring together music, community and stories of resilience on Thursday, October 15 at JULEP in San Diego.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Voices of Our City Choir will present its annual Benefit Concert, “Because of You,” presented by Music Power, on Thursday, October 15, 2026, at JULEP in San Diego.

More than a fundraising event, Because of You will be an evening of unforgettable music, vibrant food, meaningful connection and inspiring stories of resilience—celebrating what becomes possible when a community comes together.

The theme Because of You speaks to the heart of Voices of Our City and the community that surrounds it. Because of the generosity of supporters, adults impacted by homelessness are able to find more than resources and a path toward housing. They find belonging, purpose, friendship, creative expression and the confidence to imagine—and build—a new future.

And because of the Choir Members themselves—their courage, creativity and support for one another—Voices has become a community where people can be heard, valued and empowered to reclaim their lives.

An Evening Celebrating Music, Creativity and Community

Guests will begin the evening with a cocktail reception featuring live Latin music, followed by vibrant Mexican cuisine paired with live jazz. Throughout the event, guests will have opportunities to participate in a silent auction and support Voices’ programs and services.

The evening will culminate in an inspiring live concert by the internationally recognized, award-winning Voices of Our City Choir, including a first look at exciting new music created by Choir Members, and an exciting surprise, to be announced.

Most importantly, Because of You will celebrate the people at the center of Voices’ mission and the lives being transformed through the power of music, creativity and community.
